Strength-Balance-Flexibility Workout

EDIT: On October 5th due to bad weather we will move to a different location . Join us in town at the YMCA Adventure Centre, 239 Waltham Road, Sydenham, Christchurch, New Zealand. Please let someone at the reception know that you are joining us. We will be in the Alpine Lodge upstairs.

Come and join in for a workout session in the park! What´s better than training? Training outside in nature! We will be going through a workout which is meant to promote Well-Being by strengthening your powerhouse [your core], promoting balance and supporting flexibility. This workout is great on its own or when being used to enhance your ability to participate in other sports, like hiking, acro-yoga, aerials, climbing or surfing. It´s a mix of Pilates, HIIT and yoga.

It is good to have a certain base fitness, but if you are a motivated beginner you are also more than welcome. This is not a competition; this is about everyone´s own abilities. For a lot of exercises, there are several intensity options to choose from.

Please bring a mat, towel and water. Comfortable, stretchy clothing is recommended [leggings, sports top]. We will meet on the grass beside the playground at the Mt Pleasant Community Centre. This event is koha based and part of a four weeks series. Let´s get active!
