What to Expect?
A coach helps you start at the right point of your journey. There are different stages of training which are important to follow if you want to ensure maximized performance and minimized injury risk.
If you have never done hypertrophy training before, getting started with heavy weights straight away is very likely to wreak havoc on your body. Should you have an injury, which does not seem to improve maybe it is not the best to stop training but to change the approach to training.
Having a coach also creates accountability. It is so much easier to not get up in the morning and stay in your warm bed when no one is waiting for you! Having someone to train with also raises motivation and adds the social factor.
What I do not do: I am not here to provide a one-sentence answer for all existing problems. There is no way to fix years of practising unhealthy lifestyle habits in one session. If you are looking for a one-stop fix ask yourself whether you are truly ready to make a lasting change. I am here to help you find your own way, step by step so health and fitness become long-lasting lifestyle habits instead of tools we use to achieve a short-term goal.
It’s a journey, not a one-stop-shop
Signing up for a coaching program does not only mean going for fitness sessions every week. It means embarking on a journey together with your coach to find out more about yourself. Working with a coach will help you understand your own body better. Everybody is different and has different needs. There is no one size fits all. In our bodies, everything is connected. Our mindset influences our body and the other way around and so does one physical area of our body affect another. By training and tracking data on a regular basis we will start to see patterns arise. We won’t push you into a fixed program, but we will adjust according to those patterns as we learn along the way to make sure your Well-Being in the centre.
Different types of people, different preferences. For those who like to exercise in nature and sunshine, I offer outdoor sessions in various parks around central. For those who have time constraints or do not like to be around other people, I offer home visits. For those who are looking to sign up for a gym long term, I offer sessions in Cityfitness gyms around central. Finally, if you want to train in a gym without signing up, I can offer a location in Addington. Not sure about your preference? Let´s have a chat.
How Does it Work?
The first check-in is a free initial conversation in which we get to know each other and learn about your goals. This conversation lasts about 30 minutes.
After this and having decided on which service will suit you best, we do a thorough anamnesis interview together. This session usually lasts about one hour.
The next steps will be depending on your personal needs. One size does not fit all and we want to make sure that you get the most out of your consultation. Some clients already have a good idea about their way and are looking for slight adjustments, others need to learn a lot of things from scratch. No matter who you are and at which point of your journey: We are here to make sure you will get the best support on your way to a healthier life.
